Las Vegas

We are now in beautiful Las Vegas, at Sam' s Town, which is on the Boulder Highway about 8 miles for the Strip.  We spent last night at the casino and played the slots.  We were really big spenders.  Lost $4 on the penny slots, so it took us a very long time.
The weather has been great, with the temperature close to 100.  It hasn't been too bad.  And I think the humidity isn't all that low.  Of course, on the down side, the refrigerator quit working, again.  We have had trouble with it over the last couple of years, and have debated about getting a new one.  Well, the choice was made for us and we were lucky that there was a Camping World in town and they had a refrigerator.  And it only took a couple of hours.  The cats weren't too happy because they got locked in the bedroom.  But all is well now.
We really didn't want to go down to the Strip, but being in Las Vegas, and Marv being a fan of "Pawn Stars", we  had to go find the Pawn Shop.  Wasn't hard to find, and there were lots of people, but none of the "stars".  Did take a couple of pictures just to prove that we were there.
Tomorrow we take off and head for the Grand Canyon.  We have reservations, so don't have to push too hard, but it will be one of the longer days.   I get to spend Mother's Day at the Canyon.  Might make it a Grand Mother's Day.

That's me behind the fire hydrant
Guess that is all for now.  Til later.
